TO RECEIVE CREDIT FOR PROJECTS STUDENTS MUST BE PASSING THE COURSE AND ALL LABS, QUIZZES, AND TESTS MUST BE COMPLETED.

Overview
Project-Credit work is due by the specified deadline per quarter and is averaged as a percentage grade with Double Test.  You are given an opportunity for project-credit to serve as enrichment for concepts taught in class.  However, the grades do affect your overall average and may be useful if you had done poorly on a particular assignment.

The maximum of 125 points may be earned, unless you choose an individual project that is worth more than that.  In the case of a higher point project, you can earn the maximum of the total points of that project.

Year-long projects and fourth quarter project-credit MUST!! be started earlier in the year to provide enough time to complete the tasks.

Max 1 Project credit assignment per SEMESTER (1st semester - Quarter 1 & 2 and 2nd semester - Quarter 3 & 4)
All project credit are added as double test average points

This is calculated by multiplying the total number of Project-credit points by Double Test for that quarter.
STUDENTS CAN ONLY COMPLETE A MAXIMUM OF 1 Project PER SEMESTER (1st semester - Quarter 1 & 2 and 2nd semester - Quarter 3 & 4)


PROJECT CREDIT

1st QUARTER
(Due before Halloween) 110 points MAXIMUM except videos
TO RECEIVE CREDIT FOR PROJECTS STUDENTS MUST BE PASSING THE COURSE AND ALL LABS, QUIZZES, AND TESTS MUST BE COMPLETED.
UNIT 1

UNIT 2

  • Students As TV Meteorologists - Complete 3 weeks of video forecasts (115 project-credit points)
    • (1 project point per forecast - 5 auditions/trials and 10 "Live" - on-the-web forecasts must ALL be completed to receive credits)
    • INCOMPLETE NUMBER OF FORECASTS RECEIVE NO CREDIT - You must complete all 15 forecasts (5 trial and 10 online)

2nd QUARTER
(Due before Christmas Break) 10 points MAXIMUM except videos
TO RECEIVE CREDIT FOR PROJECTS STUDENTS MUST BE PASSING THE COURSE AND ALL LABS, QUIZZES, AND TESTS MUST BE COMPLETED.
UNIT 3

  • Students As TV Meteorologists - Complete 3 weeks of video forecasts (115 project-credit points)
    • (1 project point per forecast - 5 auditions*/trials and 10 "Live" - on-the-web forecasts must ALL be completed to receive credits)

3rd QUARTER
(Due before March 31st) 115 points MAXIMUM except videos
TO RECEIVE CREDIT FOR PROJECTS STUDENTS MUST BE PASSING THE COURSE AND ALL LABS, QUIZZES, AND TESTS MUST BE COMPLETED.

TO RECEIVE CREDIT FOR PROJECTS STUDENTS MUST BE PASSING THE COURSE AND ALL LABS, QUIZZES, AND TESTS MUST BE COMPLETED.
